Licensed before all Texas state courts, the Western, Southern, and Eastern District of Texas Federal Courts, the 5 th & 11th Circuit Courts of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court. Was an environmental consultant in Austin and Houston working on soil and groundwater contamination issues along with litigation support prior to completing law school. Litigated cases in Houston, Texas against the largest companies in the country on chemical and radiation exposure cases prior to forming the Howell Law Firm in 2010. Moved back to Williamson County in 2014 and merged firm to form West Short & Howell, PLLC. In addition to busy trial and arbitration practice, have handled numerous appellate matters (30+) and have personally argued a case before the Texas Supreme Court. He also holds a license as a Professional Geologist (P.G.)
